If You Live in the United States and Need Help, Please Call

The tragedy of domestic violence takes place every day in many households in the United States and around the world. It isn’t just the poor or the rich who suffer, it is also men and women, gay and straight, college professors and dropouts who find themselves helpless. No one is immune from finding themselves in a painful and traumatic relationship.

This violence doesn’t have to be physical. It can be emotional name calling and bullying. It can being forced to do unwanted sexual favors. It can be anything that another person does to you or requires of you that makes you feel trapped, alone, and/or afraid.

If you find that you have become a victim to someone’s rage, please don’t just take it. Defeat the shame you feel by taking action now! Call for help, please, you are too wonderful to lose to the human tragedy of domestic violence.

    1. Then move as far away as you can and have no social media presence. If the problem is with where you live, then going elsewhere is wise. I know doing this is very difficult if you are on a limited income or have deep roots where you live now, but it may be the only way to get help. There are organizations that can help. Call one of the numbers I put on the site and see if they know someone who can help. Please, don’t give up. There are those like myself who deeply care what happens to you. Shirley
