Hi everyone. I’ve been sick this past week AGAIN and haven’t been capable of writing much. But when I saw this picture on Twitter, I had to use it and comment.
All humanity lives in our own bubbles. We have opinions about others and we exist within the confines of how we define who we are and what we want out of life.
Then there comes along people who would like nothing more than to harm us and when they do the bubbles of self-esteem, self-love, and confidence are popped leaving us crying in the sloppy leftovers of what was or could have been our lives.
What I love about this picture and its accompanying phrase is that it is so truthful.
It is very similar to “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade,” meaning when you are dealt a traumatic childhood or adulthood you should make the best of what you have received.
No one wants to need to make more bubbles or stir up some lemonade from the messiness that has occurred because of childhood trauma. But we only have two choices.
One. We can sit in the soapy remains of what should have been and get soap in our eyes and mouths. Not only will be we be in severe pain but if we stay there riveted to the spot where our dreams died, we will never do anything more.
Two. We can get up from the soapy mess, rinse our hands, pick up the wand, and make more bubbles.
As for me, I prefer the latter.
Being an entrepreneur can be learned, and that is exactly what I have done. You don’t have to be born with it or have had the ‘lemonade stand.’ But, you do need to have the passion, devotion, conviction, and sheer will and drive to make it happen. ~ Julia Hartz
